~ Under The Moroccan Sun ~
Visiting Morocco has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I’ve always wanted to ride a camel, see the desert, explore maze-like medinas, and drink tea with Berbers.
Guesthouses, better known as riads, are probably the most beautiful thing I’ve been in. On the outside, houses are all sand colors and some located in smelly streets. But once people open their door, you will step in a whole different world.
One of the most memorable experiences was Camel trekking in the Merzouga desert. For miles around, the dunes rolled like red-tinged waves in the sea and as the sun was going down you could spot and gaze million of stars.
The beautiful garden ”Jardin Majorelle‘ once owned by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge was the best place for inspiration! Created by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, this garden is a beautiful masterpiece combining oriental colors, exotic plants and all kinds of Cactus.
I really loved wandering around the medinas and get lost in the sooks of Marrakech, surrounded by all the beautiful handicraft shops while drinking mint tea and eating delicious and fragrant food.
All these beautiful people, the landscapes, the variety of textiles and colours remained in my mind and served as a constant inspiration for our New collection SS’18 ”Under the Moroccan Sun”.
Until we will meet again soon!
